friend, can you imagine being locked up in solitary confinement for four months straight?

I can't either, but Kelly has survived it. That's why the National Immigrant Justice Center has launched a week of action this week along with Amnesty International and TransLatin@ Coalition to #FreeKelly.

Kelly is a 23-year-old transgender asylum seeker who has been locked up in immigration jail for more than two years, and has suffered medical neglect and arbitrary solitary confinement. Kelly has spoken to NBC News about her horrible experience in solitary confinement, and as her attorney, I've filed legal actions on her behalf, but Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) refuses to release her.

During this week’s week of action, join us in drawing a ton of attention to Kelly’s case and putting huge public pressure on ICE to #FreeKelly!

Here are two things you can do to #FreeKelly now:

  1. Send a message of support to Kelly via our action page!
Kelly has been suffering tremendously, both physically and mentally, and needs to know there are people who are rooting for her! Your message of support and encouragement will keep Kelly's spirits up as she continues to fight for asylum from inside jail.

  2. Tweet at ICE to #FreeKelly!

Thank you for taking action to #FreeKelly. Know that she really appreciates your support and voice!
