The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is one of the country's leading human rights organizations. NIJC defends the legal rights of immigrants regardless of background and seeks to transform the immigration system to one that affords equal opportunity for all. For the past three decades, NIJC has been bringing a comprehensive approach to advancing immigrant rights and creating humane immigration laws — providing life-changing legal services to immigrants and refugees, fighting against unjust policies and practices through litigation, and advocating with elected officials to protect immigrants in our communities. Through NIJC’s partnership with 2,000 pro bono attorneys from the nation’s leading law firms, NIJC provides free and low-cost legal services to 10,000 immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers each year.
