During this free legal clinic, private attorneys from Chicago's top law firms will join with the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) to complete and file applications for qualified applicants to RENEW their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).  

After you complete the online registration form below, you will receive an email linking to a questionnaire that lets NIJC confirm that you qualify to renew your DACA and assess your potential eligibility for other immigration benefits. You will not be considered and confirmed for this clinic until you complete the questionnaire and follow the email’s instructions to return it to NIJC.

PLEASE RETURN YOUR QUESTIONNAIRE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND NO LATER THAN THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE OF AUGUST 11, 2026. The registration deadline is subject to change based on interest in the clinic. Once this registration page closes, we will no longer accept questionnaires for review. Therefore, we highly encourage you to return your questionnaire the same day you complete the online registration form. Again, please note that if you do not check your email and return a completed questionnaire, we cannot confirm your spot in the clinic.

We are closely monitoring litigation and DACA recipients' ability to renew their benefits. If a subsequent decision impacts your ability to renew, we will notify you as soon as possible.

**Please note: This clinic is only for DACA recipients who currently hold DACA or whose DACA expired within the last year. If you have not previously had DACA or have a DACA that expired more than one year ago or was terminated at any time, we encourage you to schedule a legal consultation with NIJC to determine whether you may be able to apply for DACA.
