Join the energy of the 27th Annual Human Rights Awards, the National Immigrant Justice Center's (NIJC) signature annual event! Your donation to NIJC in honor of the Human Rights Awards will keep families together, protect a neighbor from deportation and detention, and ensure someone can start a new and safe life in the United States. For 40 years, NIJC has advanced immigrant rights and created more humane immigration laws through direct legal services, policy reform, impact litigation, and public education.
Here's what your donation does:
$5,000 – Helps a child who has been abused, neglected, or abandoned secure safety and legal status
$2,500 – Frees a parent from immigration jail
$1,000 – Assists a person with filing an appeal at the Chicago Immigration Court HelpDesk
$500 – Educates community members through a Know Your Rights presentation
$100 – Provides expert legal help for a family fighting to stay together
