The 23rd Annual National Immigrant Justice Center’s (NIJC) Human Rights Awards will honor human rights champions and celebrate the contributions of business, philanthropic, and community leaders. We are excited to once again welcome guests in-person on Wednesday, June 15th and we will also present a special virtual event the following afternoon on Thursday, June 16th. In-person seating is limited due to COVID safety precautions and tickets will sell out; we highly encourage purchasing your tickets early! The Human Rights Awards is NIJC's signature event and thanks to your support, people and families will continue to have access to life-changing immigration legal services and programs that protect immigrant rights. On behalf of the 10,000+ people who receive NIJC's services, we sincerely appreciate your support.
The National Immigrant Justice Center's Human Rights Awards will follow all local and national public health guidance regarding COVID-19 health and safety precautions. We request that all guests in attendance be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test within 24 hours of the event. Masks are required for all attendees regardless of vaccination status when not actively eating or drinking.

DAN-EL PADILLA PERALTA is Associate Professor of Classics at Princeton University, where he is associated with the Department of African American Studies and affiliated with the Programs in Latino Studies and Latin American Studies and the University Center for Human Values. A Dominican by birth and New Yorker by upbringing, he holds degrees from Princeton, Oxford, and Stanford. He is the author of Undocumented: A Dominican Boy’s Odyssey from a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League (Penguin 2015) and Divine Institutions: Religions and Community in the Middle Roman Republic (Princeton University Press 2020).
