The 24th Annual National Immigrant Justice Center’s (NIJC) Human Rights Awards will honor human rights champions and celebrate the contributions of business, philanthropic, and community leaders. Space is limited and tickets will sell out; we highly encourage purchasing your tickets early!

The Human Rights Awards is NIJC's signature event and thanks to your support, people and families will continue to have access to life-changing immigration legal services and programs that protect immigrant rights. On behalf of the 10,000 people who receive NIJC's services, we sincerely appreciate your support.

The National Immigrant Justice Center's Human Rights Awards will follow all local and national public health guidance regarding COVID-19 health and safety precautions. We request that all guests in attendance be fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test within 24 hours of the event.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER & JEANNE M. AND JOSEPH P. SULLIVAN AWARD RECIPIENT

JAVIER ZAMORA was born in La Herradura, El Salvador. When he was a year old, his father fled El Salvador due to the U.S.-funded Salvadoran Civil War. His mother followed her husband’s footsteps when Javier was about to turn five. Zamora was left at the care of his grandparents who helped raise him until he migrated to the U.S. unaccompanied when he was nine. He is the author of the poetry collection, Unaccompanied, and the New York Times bestselling memoir, SOLITO. Zamora was a 2018-2019 Radcliffe Fellow at Harvard University and holds fellowships from CantoMundo, Colgate University, MacDowell, Macondo, the National Endowment for the Arts, Poetry Foundation, Stanford University, and Yaddo. He is the recipient of a 2017 Lannan Literary Fellowship, the 2017 Narrative Prize, and the 2016 Barnes & Noble Writer for Writers Award for his work in the Undocupoets Campaign.
